K
eyboard LaunchPad (KLP) w/ Skype Control
lets you control Skype like never before using only a keyboard (using keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys).

Skype from your comfortable chair--or anywhere in the house (as far as your wireless keyboard or NControl will take you!)

No need to find a flat surface for your mouse
or even be in view of a computer screen to use Skype.

KLP lets you make Skype an integral part of your Digital Home. KLP is a powerful Shortcuts manager that lets you create Hotkeys to control programs like Skype and Windows Media Player. Use KLP to create "Presets" that let you launch playlists and radio stations in a snap!

Launch websites, check email, and more --even shut down your computer remotely.

And since you don't need a flat surface for your mouse, your wireless keyboard sets you free
, so there's never a need to leave the comfort of your couch!
.

And when you're ready to step up to ultimate control
...get NControl (for handheld wireless control up to 30 ft!)

How to Get Started
Download and open the FREE KLP with Skype Control. The FREE version gives you 5 free hotkeys (upgrade for only $9.95 to create unlimited hotkeys) so you can already answer, hang up and open the dial pad for touch tone dialing, just by using the default hotkeys (or edit them as desired.)

You can also substitute a hotkey by first removing one. (For instance, you may want to remove Email and WinAmp and substitute a Skype Speed Dial and an Audioswitch to your wireless headset.)
.

To remove hotkeys:

1. Click on the selection (shown right).

2. Right-Click and click "Remove".

Adding Hotkeys
Adding a SpeedDial for a Skype Contact
1. Click "New Hotkey" under Description and type a name in the Hotkey Title field (eg. Skype echo123) shown below.
Tip: begin all of your Skype hotkeys with "Skype" so they are listed together for easy reference. A description is optional.

2. Click "Add Action" and the select "Skype Action" from the pull down menu (shown below right).
.

.
3. In the Define Skype Hotkey window (upper left) check Call Friend and choose from the pull down menu. (This field is automatically populated with your Skype contacts.)
Click OK.

4.
. In the Assign Hotkey window (lower left) enter the hotkey you'd like to use to call this person.
(Note: If using the Winkey, just check "Require the Windows Key to be pressed" and type an alphanumeric key in the field. Otherwise, enter both keys, eg. pressing the Ctrl key and then "e" for "echo123, as shown above).

(Tip: use an alpha key that is easy to remember like "K" for Kristy. Also be careful not to use a hotkey you use in other programs like Ctrl+P.)

5. Repeat these steps to add hotkeys for Call History and Search, as desired.

6. When you're finished adding all of your hotkeys, click OK to close the window.
.
Now just type that hotkey any time you want to Skype that contact using any keyboard.

Use a wireless keyboard and there's no need to go anywhere near your computer
or look at your screen!
.

Creating a Hotkey to Switch from one Audio Device to Another
(Note: you will also use these steps to create any hotkey that executes multiple actions.)
.
1. Repeat the above steps checking "Set Audio In" and choosing your desired device from the pull down menu in the Define Skype Hotkey window and enter your hotkey as before, and "OK".

2. Click "Add Action." (Adds another action that will be performed when that hotkey is pressed.)

3. Now in the Define Skype Hotkey window, check "Set Audio Out", choose your device and click "OK".
.
You can now switch from headset to speaker phone or any other device INSTANTLY
with just a touch of a button!
.

General Use of KLP
Use KLP to create hotkeys for other functions such as opening programs like Windows Media Player, Email, surfing the Internet, etc. just by clicking New Hotkey, entering a Hotkey Key Title and "Assign" to automatically assign a keyboard shortcut. Or after entering a new Hotkey title, click on "Add Action" to assign a hotkey to a link, a system command, and more.
.
